Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug immediately if you see water leaking. Water near electrical parts is dangerous. Allow the unit to cool before handling.
- Identify leak source: Place the coffee maker on a dry paper towel and run a short water-only cycle while observing from the side. Note where water appears.
- Check reservoir and base seal: Remove and reseat the reservoir. Inspect the rubber gasket where it meets the base for cracks or deformation. Replace the gasket if damaged.
- Inspect carafe and warming plate: Ensure the leak is not from a cracked carafe or overflow from the filter basket.
- Internal inspection (advanced): Remove the bottom cover (unplugged) and look for loose or cracked silicone hoses and white mineral trails indicating slow leaks. Tighten or replace hose clamps as needed.
Do not continue using a leaking coffee maker until the leak is repaired. Internal heater or tubing replacement may be required.
