Possible Causes
Defective brew button switch, Control board not detecting button press, Lid or basket safety switch open, Water reservoir not detected
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspecting switches or internal parts.
- Check basic conditions: Ensure the water reservoir is installed and filled, the carafe is in place, and the lid and basket are fully closed.
- Try different modes: Attempt both regular and strong brew (if available). If one mode works and the other does not, the issue is likely in the control logic rather than the button hardware.
- Clean around buttons: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth. Sticky residue can cause buttons to stick or not register. Do not allow moisture to enter the panel.
- Test safety switches: Open and close the lid and remove/reinsert the basket while listening for clicks from the internal switches. A missing click may indicate a failed switch.
If the brew button never responds, the button switch or control board may need replacement.
