Coffee tastes weak or watery even when using the same amount of coffee as before.

Safety first: Unplug before cleaning internal parts.

• Check brew strength setting: Ensure the machine is not set to a special low-strength or 1–4 cup mode when brewing a full pot.
• Clean spray head: Remove the filter basket and inspect the water outlet/spray head above it. Clean any mineral or coffee buildup from the holes.
• Descale the machine: Run a full descaling cycle to restore proper water temperature and flow characteristics.
• Adjust grind and dose: Use a slightly finer grind and increase coffee amount within the recommended range to improve extraction.

If coffee remains weak even with proper settings and cleaning, the heater may not be reaching full temperature and the thermostat or heater assembly may need service.
