Possible Causes
Airlock in internal water line, Clogged inlet screen or tubing, Failed vibration pump, Flow sensor stuck or defective (on models equipped with flow meter)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and let it cool before handling. Hot water and steam may be present inside.
- Prime the system: Fill the reservoir to the maximum line. With the unit unplugged, gently tap the side of the machine to dislodge air bubbles. Plug in and run a water-only cycle to see if flow resumes.
- Clean the reservoir outlet: Remove the reservoir and inspect the outlet valve at the bottom. Clean any scale or debris with a soft brush and warm water.
- Descale internal lines: Run a full descaling cycle using a 1:1 vinegar and water solution. This can dissolve mineral deposits in the pump and tubing that may be triggering E7.
- Listen for pump operation: During a brew attempt, listen for a rhythmic buzzing or pulsing sound. If the pump is silent, it may have failed or lost power. If it hums but no water moves, the pump may be blocked or airlocked.
- Inspect flow sensor (advanced): On models with a flow meter, access the internal tubing and ensure the flow sensor wheel can spin freely and its wiring is intact.
If E7 persists after descaling and priming, the vibration pump or flow sensor likely needs replacement.
