Possible Causes
Residue in water reservoir and tubing, New plastic components off-gassing, Use of harsh cleaners not fully rinsed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug when not running a cycle.
- Initial cleaning: Before first use and if taste persists, run 2–3 full reservoirs of water-only cycles.
- Vinegar rinse: Run a cycle with a 1:1 vinegar-water mix, then follow with 2–3 water-only cycles to flush.
- Avoid scented cleaners: Do not use scented detergents or soaps inside the reservoir or brew path.
- Use filtered water: Using filtered water can reduce off-flavors and improve taste.
