How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before inspecting internal switches.
- Check lid closure: Open and firmly close the top lid. Ensure it latches fully. Remove and reseat the brew basket and filter holder.
- Inspect for broken plastic tabs: Look for small plastic actuators on the lid or basket that press a hidden switch. If broken, the switch will not engage and the unit will show an error.
- Clean the area: Coffee grounds can prevent proper closure. Clean around the lid hinge and basket area.
- Test microswitch (advanced): Remove the top cover to locate the lid or basket microswitch. Press it manually and listen for a click. Test continuity with a multimeter. Replace the switch if it does not operate correctly.
