E03 is displayed and no water flows through the coffee spout during brewing.

Safety first: Unplug the machine and allow it to cool. Hot water and steam may be present inside.

• Check water tank and filter: Ensure the Kenwood water tank is full and correctly seated. If your model uses an internal water filter cartridge, remove it temporarily and try a brew to see if flow improves.
• Run a descaling cycle: Fill the tank with descaling solution (per Kenwood instructions) and start a descaling program. If the machine will not start the program due to E03, try running several manual hot-water cycles (if available) after clearing the error by unplugging for 5 minutes.
• Inspect for kinks: On models where the tank is side-mounted, check that the tank outlet valve is not blocked and that the silicone hose from the tank to the pump (if visible) is not pinched.
• Clean the flowmeter (advanced): The flowmeter is usually a small plastic disc with two hoses, located between the tank and pump. If you are experienced and the warranty has expired, you can remove the back cover, disconnect the hoses (have towels ready), and flush the flowmeter with warm water to free the turbine. Reassemble carefully, ensuring no leaks.
• If E03 persists: The flowmeter or control board may need replacement. This is best handled by a service center.
