Pump is very loud but little or no water comes out of the coffee spout.

Safety first: Unplug the machine before handling the water tank.

• Refill and reseat tank: Fill the Kenwood water tank to the MAX line and push it firmly into place.
• Prime the system: Plug in, then run a hot-water or rinse cycle (if available) to draw water through the pump. You may need to repeat several times.
• Check tank outlet: Inspect the bottom valve of the tank for blockages. Clean with warm water and a soft brush.
• Listen for change: As air clears, the pump noise should become smoother and water should flow normally.
