Safety first: Unplug and allow the machine to cool before cleaning the steam wand.

Clean nozzle: Remove the Kenwood steam tip (if detachable) and soak in hot water. Clear holes with a fine needle.
Descale: Run a descaling cycle ensuring steam is drawn through the wand as per the manual.
Proper warm-up: Allow the machine to fully reach steam temperature before opening the steam knob.
Test again: After cleaning and descaling, test steam output. If still weak, the steam valve or boiler may require service.
