Water or steam escapes from the top or sides of the machine.

Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool fully. Escaping steam can cause burns.

• Inspect lid and top cover: Check the Kenwood lid gasket (if present) for cracks or deformation. Ensure the lid closes fully.
• Check for visible cracks: Look for cracks in plastic around the top where steam vents.
• Do not block vents: Never cover or block steam vents; this can cause pressure buildup.
• Service if internal leak: If steam or water clearly escapes from seams or internal joints, internal seals or pipes may need replacement by a technician.
