Possible Causes
Coffee left on warming plate too long, Warming plate thermostat too hot, Grind too fine, Too much coffee for water volume
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Usage adjustments:
- Do not leave coffee on the warming plate for extended periods; transfer to a thermal carafe if possible.
- Use a medium grind and avoid overpacking the filter basket.
Check warming plate:
- If coffee tastes burnt quickly, the warming plate may be running too hot. Test by placing a small amount of water in the carafe and feeling the temperature after 10–15 minutes.
If the warming plate is excessively hot, the warming plate thermostat may be faulty and require replacement.
