Possible Causes

Clogged inlet check valve at reservoir connection, Mineral scale in inlet tube, Deformed reservoir outlet seal, Airlock in inlet line

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Inspect reservoir outlet:

  • Remove the reservoir and examine the outlet valve at the bottom. Press it gently with a clean tool to ensure it opens and closes smoothly.
  • Rinse the outlet under running water to clear debris.

Clean inlet port on machine:

  • Look into the reservoir cavity on the coffee maker. Use a damp cotton swab to clean any visible scale or coffee residue around the inlet port and seal.

Descale:

  • Run a descaling cycle with vinegar and water to dissolve internal scale around the inlet and check valve.

If the problem continues, the internal inlet check valve or tubing may be restricted and require disassembly and replacement.
