Possible Causes
Descale cycle interrupted, Insufficient volume run through machine, Flow meter not registering correctly, Control board not resetting descale flag
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Repeat full descale cycle:
- Run the manufacturer-recommended descale procedure again, ensuring you do not interrupt power or stop the cycle early.
- Use the correct ratio of descaling solution or vinegar to water.
Flush thoroughly:
- After descaling, run at least 2–3 full reservoirs of clean water through the machine.
Reset power:
- Unplug the unit for 10 minutes, then plug back in and run a normal brew cycle with water only.
If the DESC error remains, the flow meter or control board may not be registering flow correctly and may need replacement.
