Possible Causes
Brew basket not fully inserted, Top lid not latched, Broken lid latch tab, Faulty lid-closed microswitch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Check lid and basket:
- Open and close the top lid firmly until you hear or feel a click.
- Remove the brew basket, clean it, and reinstall it fully so it sits flush.
Inspect latch:
- Look for broken plastic tabs or hinges on the lid that might prevent full closure.
- If a tab is broken, the lid may not actuate the internal switch.
Clean around switch area:
- With the unit unplugged, gently clean around the lid latch area where the switch is located.
If the error remains, the lid-closed microswitch may need replacement, which requires opening the housing.
