Possible Causes

Clogged flow meter from scale, Flow meter turbine stuck, Flow meter wiring harness loose, Failed flow meter sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and let it cool completely before working on it.

Descale to clear blockages:

  • Fill the water reservoir with a 1:1 mixture of white vinegar and water.
  • Run a brew cycle without coffee grounds. If the unit allows, run multiple short cycles to move the solution through the internal tubing and flow meter.
  • Let the machine sit for 20–30 minutes, then run several full reservoirs of clean water to flush out vinegar and loosened scale.

Check water supply path:

  • Ensure the reservoir outlet valve at the bottom is not blocked by debris or scale.
  • Inspect the inlet screen (if present) for sediment and rinse thoroughly.

If ERR3 persists:

  • The internal flow meter assembly may be stuck or failed. Access usually requires removing the top or back cover.
  • Inspect the small plastic flow meter (often a round or oval component in the water line) for kinks in hoses or visible cracks.
  • Replace the flow meter if the turbine does not spin freely or if the sensor is open-circuit.

Because accessing the flow meter involves opening the appliance and dealing with hot-water tubing, consider a professional technician if you are not comfortable with internal repairs.
