Possible Causes

Limescale in aluminum heating tube, Clogged filter basket or paper filter, Blocked outlet nozzle above filter, Partially blocked vibration pump

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug and allow the machine to cool before handling the filter basket or internal parts.

Cleaning and descaling:

  • Remove the filter basket and thoroughly clean it, including the small outlet hole at the bottom.
  • Check that you are not using too fine a grind or double paper filters, which can restrict flow.
  • Run a full descaling cycle with a Klarstein-approved descaler. Repeat if the machine is heavily scaled.

Internal inspection (advanced):

  • Remove the bottom cover to access the aluminum heating tube and silicone hoses.
  • Check hoses for kinks or internal scale; replace if hardened or blocked.
  • If the heater tube is severely scaled, replacement of the heater assembly may be more effective than repeated descaling.
