Possible Causes
Severely restricted water supply, partially blocked fill solenoid, airlock in boiler, weak or failing pump, scaled level probe causing misdetection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the machine. Close the water supply and relieve pressure before removing any water fittings.
Steps to address ALARM 15:
- Confirm water supply and pressure: Ensure the main water line is open and that pressure is within spec. Replace or bypass any clogged external filters.
- Check pump performance: Listen for the pump during fill. If it sounds strained or unusually quiet, test line pressure and pump output. Replace the pump if it cannot build pressure.
- Inspect fill solenoid: Remove and clean the boiler fill solenoid valve. Check for debris or scale in the inlet screen and orifice.
- Bleed air from boiler: After reassembly, open the hot water tap and allow water to flow until a steady stream appears, helping to remove airlocks.
- Clean level probe: If the boiler is filling but the machine does not detect level, descale the level probe as described in other level probe procedures.
- Re-test: Restore water and power, then monitor the next fill cycle. If ALARM 15 persists, the control board timing or level circuit may require professional diagnosis.
