• Inspect for scale: If the machine has hard water and limited treatment, the brew boiler may be heavily scaled. Plan a professional descaling service; internal boiler descaling is not recommended for untrained users.
• Test temperature probe: Measure probe resistance at known temperatures and compare to spec. Replace if readings are inaccurate.
• Check element performance: If the element is partially failed (e.g., dual-circuit element with one leg open), heating will be slow. Test resistance and replace the element if out of spec.
