Possible Causes
Tripped brew boiler high-limit thermostat, failed brew boiler heating element, defective brew boiler SSR/contactor, broken wiring to brew element
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the machine. Allow the brew boiler to cool before touching any components.
Steps:
- Reset brew high-limit: Find the manual-reset thermostat on the brew boiler and press the reset button. If it clicks, power the machine and check if the brew boiler now heats.
- Inspect wiring: Look for loose or burned wires at the brew element and its SSR/contactor. Repair or replace as needed.
- Measure element resistance: With power disconnected, test the brew element with a multimeter. Replace if open.
- Check SSR/contactor: Confirm that the control board is sending a signal to the SSR when brew heat is required. Replace the SSR if it does not switch properly.
