Possible Causes
Loose compression fittings on copper lines, cracked silicone hoses, leaking boiler gasket, leaking safety valve or vacuum breaker
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the machine. Close the water supply and allow boilers to cool and depressurize. Water near live electrical parts is dangerous.
Steps:
- Remove panels: Take off side and rear panels to visually inspect for signs of water trails, corrosion, or active drips.
- Identify leak source: Run the machine briefly (if safe) and observe where water emerges: from fittings, hoses, boiler seams, or valves.
- Tighten fittings: Gently tighten any loose compression nuts on copper lines. Do not overtighten, as this can crack fittings.
- Replace damaged hoses: Any cracked or swollen silicone hoses should be replaced with high-temperature food-grade hose of the correct size.
- Check safety valve and vacuum breaker: If these components are constantly venting water, they may be scaled or failing and should be replaced.
- Boiler gasket leaks: If water seeps from boiler flanges, a boiler teardown and gasket replacement is required; this is best handled by a professional technician.
