Weak flow from group head; shots run very slowly even with coarse grind and no portafilter shows reduced flow.

Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the machine. Let the group cool.

Steps:

• Clean group components: Remove and clean the dispersion screen and jet plate. Pay special attention to the small jet or restrictor hole; clear it with a fine needle if blocked.
• Backflush: Perform a thorough backflush with detergent to clear coffee oils and minor debris.
• Check pump pressure: Attach a portafilter pressure gauge and verify brew pressure (typically ~9 bar). Adjust the pump bypass valve if pressure is low, or replace the pump if it cannot reach spec.
• Inspect flowmeter and solenoid: If restriction persists, clean or replace the brew flowmeter and group solenoid valve.
