Safety first: Unplug the machine immediately if you suspect an internal leak. Water inside the chassis can cause electric shock or short circuits.

Step 1 – External inspection

• Remove the drip tray and capsule container; check for excessive water.
• Inspect the underside of the machine for signs of leakage.
• Dry the exterior thoroughly.

Step 2 – Limited test for leak source

• Place the machine on a dry towel or absorbent pad.
• Plug in and run a short water-only cycle while observing for drips.
• If water appears from vents or seams, stop immediately and unplug.

Step 3 – Internal inspection (advanced)

• Unplug and remove the cover.
• Visually inspect all silicone hoses, clamps, and plastic fittings for cracks or loose connections.
• Check the drain/three-way valve (often near the brew group or pump) for leaks or stuck positions.
• Tighten or replace hose clamps as needed.

Step 4 – Replace faulty components

• Replace any cracked hoses with high-temperature food-grade silicone hose of the same diameter.
• If the drain valve is leaking from its body or not switching correctly, replace it with a compatible Lavazza valve.

When to seek service

• Internal leaks can damage electronics; if you see water near the control board or wiring, have the machine inspected by a professional.
