Possible Causes

Used capsule drawer is full, Drawer not fully inserted, Faulty drawer presence microswitch, Broken drawer magnet or sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the machine before reaching into the capsule area.

Step 1 – Empty and clean the drawer

  • Remove the used capsule drawer and empty all capsules.
  • Rinse the drawer with warm water and dry thoroughly.
  • Check for deformation or cracks that might prevent proper insertion.
  • Reinsert the drawer fully until it seats correctly.

Step 2 – Check for obstructions

  • Inspect the drawer cavity for stray capsules or debris.
  • Remove any obstruction that could prevent the drawer from closing fully.

Step 3 – Sensor inspection (advanced)

  • Unplug and remove the cover to access the drawer sensor area.
  • Locate the drawer microswitch or magnetic sensor.
  • Check that the actuator (tab on the drawer) properly engages the switch when inserted.
  • Adjust or replace the switch if it does not click or change state when pressed.

When to seek service

  • If B2 remains after confirming the drawer and sensor are mechanically sound, the sensor wiring or control board input may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
