Possible Causes

Empty or incorrectly seated water tank, Air lock in suction hose, Leaking suction hose connection, Faulty flowmeter not detecting flow

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Keep the machine on a stable surface; avoid running the pump dry for long periods.

Step 1 – Check tank and seating

  • Fill the water tank completely.
  • Reinsert it firmly to ensure the valve opens.

Step 2 – Purge air

  • Start a hot-water cycle without a capsule.
  • If no water flows, stop after 10 seconds and wait 30 seconds; repeat several times to help the pump prime.
  • Tilt the machine slightly backward during priming to help air escape.

Step 3 – Inspect suction hose (advanced)

  • Unplug and remove the cover.
  • Check the hose from the tank connection to the pump for cracks or loose clamps.
  • Replace any damaged hose and secure with proper clamps.

Step 4 – Flowmeter check

  • Ensure the flowmeter is not blocked and its connector is secure.

When to seek service

  • If E04 persists and the pump cannot prime, the pump or flowmeter may need replacement by a technician.
