Possible Causes
Brew head not fully closed, Faulty door microswitch, Misaligned door latch, Broken actuator tab on door
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before adjusting door components.
Step 1 – Check door closure
- Ensure the brew head or capsule door is fully closed and latched.
- Remove any capsule that may be preventing full closure.
Step 2 – Inspect latch and actuator
- Examine the door latch and any plastic tabs that actuate the internal switch.
- If a tab is broken, the door may not trigger the safety switch and the part may need replacement.
Step 3 – Microswitch check (advanced)
- Unplug and remove the cover.
- Locate the door microswitch and verify that it clicks when the door is closed.
- Adjust its position if necessary so it is fully depressed when the door is shut.
- Replace the switch if it is mechanically or electrically faulty.
When to seek service
- If E07 persists after mechanical adjustments, a wiring or control board issue may be present and should be diagnosed by a technician.
