Possible Causes

Weak or worn vibration pump, OPV (overpressure valve) misadjusted or stuck open, Leak in brew circuit, Blocked pump inlet filter

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug before internal adjustments.

  • Check coffee variables: Confirm grind, dose, and tamp are correct. Use a blind basket to test maximum pressure independent of coffee puck.
  • Test with blind basket: Install a blind filter and start a shot. The brew pressure should rise to around 9–10 bar. If it stays low, suspect pump or OPV.
  • Inspect for leaks: Look for water leaks around the pump, OPV, and brew boiler during a blind shot.
  • Adjust OPV (if user-accessible): Some Lelit models allow OPV adjustment. Turn the adjustment screw slightly (per manufacturer instructions) to increase pressure, testing with the blind basket.
  • Replace pump: If the pump cannot reach pressure even with OPV fully closed and no leaks, replace the vibration pump.
