Possible Causes
Incorrect PID settings, Poor thermal contact of brew boiler sensor, Scale buildup in brew boiler, Faulty NTC temperature probe
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and cool before internal checks.
- Warm-up time: Allow at least 30 minutes for full thermal stability, especially on E61-group Lelits.
- Reset PID: In the menu, restore PID parameters to factory defaults. Avoid aggressive custom tuning unless you understand PID control.
- Check sensor mounting: Ensure the brew boiler NTC probe is firmly screwed into the boiler and making good contact.
- Descale brew boiler: Perform a descaling cycle to remove scale that can cause hot spots and unstable readings.
- Replace sensor: If temperature swings remain large, replace the brew boiler NTC temperature probe.
