Possible Causes
Cracked silicone hose, Loose hose clamp on boiler or pump, Leaking OPV (overpressure valve) outlet not routed to drip tray, Worn boiler gasket or fitting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF, unplug, and allow the machine to cool. Water near live parts is dangerous.
- Identify leak source: Remove the top or side panels and run a brief brew cycle while observing inside (avoid touching live parts). Look for drips from hoses, fittings, or valves.
- Tighten clamps: If a hose is leaking at a barb, tighten or replace the hose clamp. Replace any cracked or hardened silicone hoses.
- Check OPV outlet: Ensure the OPV discharge hose is correctly routed to the drip tray or tank. Reattach if it has come loose.
- Boiler fittings: Inspect boiler connections for seepage. Gently tighten fittings if slightly loose; if still leaking, replace the PTFE or fiber gasket at that fitting.
- Dry and test: Dry the interior thoroughly before reassembling and retesting.
