Possible Causes
Water tank empty, Water tank not correctly seated, Faulty water level float, Defective tank sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the machine off before removing the water tank.
- Refill the tank: Fill the water tank above the minimum mark with fresh, cold water and reinsert it firmly.
- Check tank alignment: Ensure the tank is pushed fully down and back. Misalignment can prevent the sensor from detecting it.
- Clean the float and tank: Remove the tank and rinse it thoroughly. Make sure the float moves freely and is not stuck by limescale or debris.
- Inspect sensor area: Look at the base of the tank and the matching area on the machine. Clean any scale or dirt with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
If the WATER warning persists with a full, correctly seated tank, the level sensor or switch may need replacement.
