Machine makes unusually loud rattling or buzzing noises during brewing.

Safety first: Keep hands away from moving parts and hot outlets while the machine is running.

• Level the machine: Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable surface. Adjust or replace any missing rubber feet.
• Bleed air from system: Run several hot water cycles to purge air from the pump and hoses.
• Check for external vibration: Ensure the power cord or other objects are not touching the machine and amplifying noise.

If the noise is metallic or grinding and persists, the pump mounts or pump itself may be failing and should be checked by a technician.
