Possible Causes
Dried milk blocking steam tip, Blocked internal steam channel, Milk sucked back into wand, Lack of regular cleaning
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the machine is off, unplugged, and the wand is cool before disassembly.
- Remove the tip: Unscrew the steam tip from the wand (if your Magimix model allows). Soak it in hot water with a little washing-up liquid.
- Clear holes: Use a dedicated steam tip cleaning tool or a wooden toothpick to gently clear each hole. Do not enlarge the holes.
- Clean the wand exterior: Wipe the wand with a damp cloth to remove milk residue.
- Purge after reassembly: Refit the tip, power the machine, and open the steam valve to purge any remaining blockage.
For severe internal blockages, the entire steam wand assembly may need replacement.
