Possible Causes

Grinder set too fine, Coffee dose set too high, Brew temperature too high, Very dark roast beans

Steps:

Adjust grinder: While grinding, turn the grind selector slightly coarser.
Lower strength: Reduce the aroma/strength setting on the control panel.
Change beans: Try a lighter roast or blend more suited to automatic machines.
Check temperature setting: If your Melitta model allows, reduce the brew temperature in the settings menu.

No internal repair is usually needed; proper adjustment resolves the issue.
