Possible Causes
Faulty water tank reed switch or Hall sensor, Missing or demagnetized float magnet in tank, Dirty or misaligned tank contacts, Broken sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before inspecting sensors.
User checks:
- Clean tank and seat: Remove the water tank, clean the underside and the area where it sits on the machine. Remove scale and debris.
- Check float: Verify that the float inside the tank moves freely up and down and that the magnet (if visible) is present. If the float is stuck, soak and clean the tank.
- Reinsert firmly: Slide the tank back in until it fully engages. A partially seated tank can trigger F10.
Advanced:
- Locate the tank level sensor (reed switch or Hall sensor) behind the tank area and check for loose wiring.
- Test the sensor with a magnet to see if it switches correctly.
Replace the water tank if the float or magnet is missing or damaged. Replace the sensor if it does not respond to a magnet. Persistent F10 may indicate a control board input fault.
