Possible Causes

Defective vibration pump, Air lock in water circuit, Blocked hydraulic circuit due to limescale, Faulty overpressure valve

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the machine and allow it to cool.

User-level checks:

  • Check water tank: Ensure the tank is fully seated, filled, and that the tank outlet valve moves freely. Clean the tank filter.
  • Prime the system: Fill the tank, then start a hot water or rinse program. If the pump is noisy but no water flows, stop, remove the tank, and refill to remove air. Reinsert firmly and try again.
  • Descale: Run a full descaling cycle to clear limescale from the pump, thermoblock, and valves.

Advanced checks:

  • Open the machine and inspect the Ulka-style vibration pump and hoses for leaks, kinks, or disconnections.
  • Check the pump coil for continuity with a multimeter.
  • Inspect the overpressure valve and flow restrictors for blockages.

If the pump does not vibrate when commanded, replace the pump. If it runs but no water flows even after descaling, a blocked hydraulic circuit or faulty valve may need professional service.
