Display shows 'Clean the brew unit' frequently or machine requests cleaning after few cycles

User-level maintenance:

• Remove the brew unit weekly and clean thoroughly under warm running water.
• Allow to dry completely and lubricate moving joints with food-safe silicone grease where specified by Miele.
• Run the automatic cleaning program with Miele cleaning tablets as recommended.

Technical note:

• If cleaning and lubrication do not reduce frequent prompts, the drive current threshold may be sensitive; consult Miele service for firmware updates or drive checks.
