Miele Child Lock / System Lock Activated

Display shows 'System lock' or child lock symbol; machine will not brew

Possible Causes

Child lock enabled in settings, accidental key combination pressed, control software lock

User-level resolution:

Consult the user manual for the specific key combination to disable the child lock (often pressing and holding a designated button or combination for several seconds).
Navigate to the settings menu and turn off the system lock/child lock option.
If the lock cannot be cleared, unplug the machine for 5 minutes and try again.
