How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the machine and allow the steam boiler to cool completely. Steam circuits are under pressure and can cause burns.

Basic actions:

Run a full descaling cycle using Miele descaling tablets to remove limescale from the steam circuit.
Ensure the milk system and steam nozzle are clean and not blocked.

Technical steps:

Access the steam boiler assembly inside the machine.
Locate the NTC temperature sensor and thermal fuse/thermostat on the steam boiler.
Check wiring and connectors for damage or loose contacts.
Measure the NTC resistance at room temperature and compare to specifications; replace if out of range.
Test the thermal fuse for continuity; replace if open.

Resolution:

Replace the faulty NTC sensor or thermal fuse with the correct Miele part.
If sensors and fuses are good but F8 persists, the control board's temperature input may be defective and should be serviced by a professional.
