Moldy or stale smell from the machine or coffee

User-level cleaning:

• Remove and thoroughly clean the brew unit, drip tray, and waste container with warm soapy water; dry completely.
• Run the automatic cleaning program with Miele cleaning tablets.
• Run the milk system cleaning program with Miele milk system cleaner.
• Leave the service door slightly open when the machine is off to allow ventilation (if recommended by Miele).

Maintenance:

• Adopt a regular cleaning schedule as outlined in the user manual to prevent future odors.
