Advertisements
Possible Causes
Worn drip-stop seal, Debris preventing full closure, Weak or damaged drip-stop spring, Misaligned carafe lid actuator
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the brew basket to cool before handling to avoid burns.
- Clean the valve: Remove the brew basket and rinse the drip-stop area thoroughly. Use a small brush to remove coffee residue from the seal and moving parts.
- Inspect seal and spring: Check the rubber seal for cracks or deformation and ensure the spring returns the valve fully closed. Replace the drip-stop assembly if worn.
- Check carafe lid: Ensure the carafe lid actuator is not bent or damaged and that it fully releases the valve when the carafe is removed.
- Test operation: Fill the basket with water and place it over a sink. Manually actuate the valve to confirm proper sealing when released.
