Carafe lid leaks when pouring coffee

Safety: Allow coffee to cool slightly before handling a leaking carafe to avoid burns.

• Clean lid and gasket: Disassemble the carafe lid if possible. Wash all parts with warm soapy water, paying attention to the gasket groove.
• Inspect gasket: Check the rubber gasket for cracks, flattening, or hardening. Replace the gasket if any damage is found.
• Check lid fit: Ensure the lid locks firmly into the carafe and is the correct model for your Moccamaster carafe.
• Replace lid: If the lid is warped or the internal valve mechanism is damaged, replace the entire carafe lid assembly.
