Possible Causes
Limescale buildup in heating block, Partially blocked riser tube, Air trapped in water circuit, Low water level in reservoir
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal work should be done while the unit is hot or plugged in.
- Check water level: Always fill the reservoir to at least the minimum indicated level to avoid excessive boiling noise.
- Descale the system: Run a full descaling cycle to remove mineral buildup that can cause noisy boiling.
- Bleed air from system: After descaling, run 1–2 full reservoirs of clean water to flush air and debris.
- Inspect riser tube: If noise persists, remove the top cover and check the riser tube for partial blockages. Clean or replace as needed.
