Possible Causes
Power supply instability on PCB, Faulty backup capacitor, Loose mains connection, Control PCB fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before opening the housing.
- Direct wall connection: Plug the coffee maker directly into a wall outlet, avoiding extension leads that may cause voltage drops.
- Power cycle: Unplug for 5 minutes, then reset the clock and observe if it holds time.
- Inspect PCB (advanced): Remove the base and look for bulging electrolytic capacitors on the control PCB, especially near the low-voltage supply section.
- Replace PCB or capacitors: If capacitors are visibly damaged, they or the entire PCB should be replaced.
If the timer continues to reset, the control PCB is likely failing and should be replaced.
