Coffee maker takes much longer than usual to brew a full pot.

Safety first: Allow the machine to cool before descaling or cleaning.

• Descale: Run a full descaling cycle with a suitable descaler to clear scale from the aluminium heating tube and internal pipes.
• Clean filter and basket: Wash the filter basket and permanent filter (if used) to remove fine coffee particles.
• Clean shower head: Remove and clean the spray head to restore full flow through all holes.
• Repeat rinse cycles: After descaling, run 2–3 tanks of fresh water to flush out loosened debris.

If brew time remains abnormally long, internal tubing or the heating tube may be severely restricted and require replacement.
