Possible Causes
Worn or hardened drip stop seal, Broken drip stop spring, Misaligned filter holder, Coffee residue preventing full closure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the machine to cool before working near the filter area.
- Clean drip stop: Remove the filter holder and rinse the drip stop valve under warm water, pressing it repeatedly to clear residue.
- Inspect seal and spring: Check the rubber seal and spring for damage or loss of tension. Replace the filter holder assembly if worn.
- Check carafe alignment: Ensure the carafe is correctly positioned so that its lid actuator properly opens the valve when inserted.
If the valve continues to drip excessively, replacing the filter holder/drip stop assembly is recommended.
