Possible Causes
Brew group jammed with coffee, Drive motor gear worn, Brew group microswitch failure, Misaligned brew unit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before removing the brew group or accessing internal mechanisms.
- Remove and clean brew group: Open the service door, remove the brew group, and rinse it thoroughly under warm water. Remove any compacted coffee pucks and old grounds. Let it dry and reinstall firmly.
- Lubricate moving parts: Apply food-safe silicone grease to the brew group rails and piston seals according to the user manual.
- Check for obstructions: Inspect the area where the brew group sits for loose coffee grounds or foreign objects blocking movement.
- Reset position: With the brew group removed, plug in the machine and power it on. Let it complete its self-test, then power off, unplug, and reinstall the brew group in the home position.
If E7 continues, the drive motor, gear train, or position microswitches may be faulty and require professional service.
