Possible Causes
Carafe not fully seated under drip spout, Drip-stop valve stuck closed, Using a smaller carafe than designed, Excessive brew volume selected
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow hot surfaces to cool before cleaning.
- Seat carafe correctly:
- Ensure the carafe is pushed fully back so the lid presses the drip-stop valve.
- Match brew size to carafe:
- Do not brew 12 cups into a smaller carafe; adjust water level and settings.
- Clean drip-stop:
- Remove the filter basket and clean the drip-stop valve to ensure it opens freely.
If overflow continues with correct setup, the drip-stop mechanism or carafe lid design may be faulty and the basket or carafe should be replaced.
