Possible Causes

Aging LCD display, Loose ribbon cable to display, Failing display driver on control PCB, Heat damage from steam

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug before inspecting around the display.

  • Reduce steam exposure:
    • Ensure the coffee maker is not placed directly under low cabinets where steam can condense on the display.
  • Power reset:
    • Unplug for 10 minutes and plug back in to see if display improves.

If the display remains dim or partially missing, the LCD or control board will need replacement. The unit can still be used if you can operate it by habit, but repair is required for full visibility.
