Possible Causes

Heavily scaled heating element tube, Blocked water inlet screen in reservoir, Clogged internal silicone water tubing, Faulty thermal sensor detecting overheat due to poor flow

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely.

  • Deep descale:
    • Fill reservoir with full-strength white vinegar (no water) up to mid-level.
    • Start a brew cycle and let it run for 3–4 minutes, then press STOP.
    • Let the unit sit for 45–60 minutes to soften heavy scale.
    • Restart and complete the cycle, then discard vinegar.
    • Run 3–4 full reservoirs of fresh water to flush.
  • Clean inlet screen:
    • Remove the water reservoir (if removable). Inspect the bottom outlet and any mesh screen for mineral buildup.
    • Use a soft brush or toothbrush and vinegar to scrub away deposits.
  • Check for external leaks or overheating:
    • During a water-only cycle, watch for steam escaping from unusual areas or gurgling without water flow; this indicates internal blockage.

If the CLEAN light continues flashing and the unit still will not brew, the internal tubing or heater may be partially blocked or the thermal sensor may be misreading. At this point, internal disassembly is required and should be done by a qualified technician.
