Recent power outage or unplugging, Failed backup capacitor on control board, User has not set time after reset
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal repair is needed for this condition.
- Set the clock:
- Press and hold the HOUR button until the correct hour is displayed (note AM/PM indicator if present).
- Press and hold the MINUTE button to set minutes.
- Confirm by pressing PROGRAM or BREW depending on model.
- Avoid frequent unplugging:
- Leave the unit plugged in to maintain clock settings.
If the clock resets frequently without power loss, the control board’s backup circuit may be failing and the PCB may need replacement.
