Possible Causes

Failed NTC thermistor on heating plate, Broken wiring harness between sensor and control board, Corroded connector at sensor terminals, Overheated sensor from dry-fire event

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely. Do not attempt to bypass temperature sensors.

  • Reset and test:
    • Unplug for 10 minutes, then plug back in and attempt a water-only brew.
  • Check for signs of overheating:
    • Turn the unit over (unplugged) and inspect the underside of the warming plate area for burn marks or melted plastic.

This error almost always indicates a failed temperature sensor or wiring. Accessing and testing the NTC requires disassembly and a multimeter. If you are not experienced with electrical repair, contact a technician to replace the NTC sensor or wiring harness.
